A mindful coaching and facilitation consultant is a professional who helps individuals and organizations achieve their goals by integrating mindfulness practices into their coaching and facilitation work. They are trained in both coaching and facilitation methodologies, as well as mindfulness techniques.

Mindful Coaching

Mindful coaching is a coaching approach that emphasizes the importance of present-moment awareness and non-judgmental observation. It helps individuals to increase their self-awareness, reduce stress, and make more mindful choices.

Mindful Facilitation

Mindful facilitation is a facilitation approach that uses mindfulness practices to create a safe and supportive space for participants to learn, grow, and connect. It helps to ensure that meetings are focused, productive, and inclusive.

Mindful coaching and facilitation can offer a number of benefits for individuals and organizations, including:

  • Fostered a more mindful and compassionate culture

What Mindful Coaching and Facilitation Consultants Do

Mindful coaching and facilitation consultants can help with a variety of tasks, including:

The Mindful Coaching and Facilitation Tool bag

Mindful coaching and facilitation consultants typically have a passion for Mindfulness and its benefits and experience working in the field of personal or organizational development.

In my case, I also have a Master’s degree in the Studies of Mindfulness from the University of Aberdeen, have an Advanced Certificate in Coaching Practice (ACCP) accredited by the Association for Coaching and am currently studying towards the ILM 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching and Mentoring.

Aside from all this (which is a lot), one of the tools that I can also utilize to enhance their work is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®. I have blogged about LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® before – but to recap LSP is a creative problem-solving methodology that uses LEGO® bricks to facilitate discussions and communicate ideas. It can be a valuable tool for helping individuals and teams to:
  • Break down barriers and foster open communication
  • Visualize complex ideas and concepts
  • Explore different perspectives and solutions
  • Develop creative and innovative solutions
  • Commit to action and implementation
Here are some examples of how a mindful coaching and facilitation consultant could use LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®:
  • Developing personal growth plans
  • Facilitating team-building exercises
  • Conducting strategic planning sessions
  • Solving complex problems
  • Generating creative ideas
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a powerful tool for mindful coaching and facilitation. By combining the benefits of mindfulness, coaching, and facilitation with the unique power of LEGO® bricks, consultants can help individuals and organizations to achieve their goals in a more creative, collaborative, and mindful way.
