I have just returned from an incredible week immersed in the world of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® at the Annual International Conference at the LEGOLAND Hotel and Conference in Billund, Denmark. It was a whirlwind of learning, play, community, and connection that I'll cherish for a long time to come.

My Key Takeaways from the Conference:
  1. Reframing Thinking with LSP: I delved deeper into the power of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® as a tool for reframing thinking. The new LSP application created by intHRface proved invaluable in unlocking new perspectives and problem-solving approaches.
  2. Levelling Up Facilitation Skills: The conference provided opportunities to enhance my facilitation skills through hands-on workshops and interactive sessions. I learned valuable lessons and techniques to guide teams effectively and create a collaborative environment.
  3. The Power of Playful Learning: One of the highlights was a playful exercise where I spent an hour walking about inside a box! This seemingly unconventional activity demonstrated the importance of stepping outside our comfort zones, looking at our blocks and embracing a playful mindset to foster creativity and innovation.
Thank You to the Organizers and Speakers

A “big hand” to the IntHRface team for organizing and curating such a fantastic conference. Johan S Roos's insightful research project and expert contributions as chair were invaluable, contributing significantly to the event's success.

The keynote speakers, Scott Handy (actor) and Amy Edmondson (scholar) captivated the audience with their inspiring theatrics and lecture, respectively. Additionally, the community case study presenters shared valuable first-hand experiences that enriched the conference.

Our LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Community

The Brickmind community is dedicated to fostering a safe, collaborative, and inclusive environment. These are the Simple Guiding Principles that are at the heart of everything we do within the Brickmind community:
  1. Beyond the Basics: We go beyond the surface level to explore deeper meanings and connections.
  2. Embracing Diversity: We celebrate the richness of diverse perspectives and experiences.
  3. Exploring the Why: We delve into the underlying reasons behind actions and decisions.
  4. More Than Bricks: We recognize the symbolic and metaphorical potential of LEGO® bricks.
Looking Forward to Next Year!

To everyone who may be reading this who attended, I hope you enjoyed the conference as much as I did. I'm already looking forward to next year's event and can't wait to reconnect with this fabulous LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® community.
